Harp music for weddings, civil ceremonies, and civil partnerships
There's something really special about live music at a wedding, particularly harp music. It can provide an elegant background mood, but it's also vibrant enough to grab everyone's attention and announce the bride's arrival.
Or the groom's arrival. I provide the music for civil partnerships, civil ceremonies and humanist weddings as well as traditional church services.
My harp will go pretty much anywhere. I've played at a whole array of wedding venues - castles and stately homes, pubs and village halls, marquees - even on board a ship! Although I work mainly in the West Midlands and surrounding areas, I'm happy to discuss travelling further for your event. Get in touch by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for a chat about your wedding venue.
What kind of music would you like at your wedding? It could be a traditional wedding march, classical wedding music or a song that's special to you as a couple.
If you're still deciding, I'm happy to suggest wedding music ideas. You get a free consultation with your booking so we can discuss your options and I can play through some music. It's a great way to make sure you're comfortable with how it will sound on the day.
If you like, I can make a custom arrangement. Have you ever heard Coldplay or Michael Buble played on a harp? It sounds great, but don't take my word for it. Have a quick listen here. Or check out my repertoire list for some music suggestions.
And a singing harpist...
I'm a trained singer as well as being a harpist. Voice and harp is an unbeatable combination and it works beautifully at a wedding, either at a special point in your ceremony, or as background music during the reception.
If you want a special love song, pop classic, an oldie, or something from the movies I can make a bespoke arrangement to perform on your wedding day.
I can play for...
The standard civil wedding ceremony, which includes:
- 30 minutes of music while your guests arrive
- Processional music
- Music while you sign the register
- Recessional music
The drinks reception, to enhance the atmosphere while you and your guests have photographs taken.
The wedding breakfast, providing background music for your first meal as a married couple.
Or any combination of the above!

Kind Words and Thanks
Lizzie was absolutely lovely and had taken the time to ask me what the colour scheme was for the day so she could dress accordingly. How very thoughtful of her. Her repertoire was very varied, from the Beatles to classical music, and was perfect. My niece and her new husband, together with our guests, really enjoyed Lizzie's playing. The most magical and memorable piece of music for us all was when she played "Let It Go" from the film Frozen, and our grandchildren sang along with Lizzie. A tear-jerking moment! Lizzie was a real star and we enjoyed every moment! Linda Cooper, August 2014
Thank you so much for playing at our wedding! You were absolutely amazing and you played everything perfectly that we requested. I just wish I could go back and listen to you play again! Honestly, we can't thank you enough and are so glad we found you to play on our special day. Jason and Lauren Bonthuys, August 2014
I just wanted to thank you and relay everyone's positive comments. You were absolutely brilliant on the day, in terms of your
playing and also your presence which was calm and professional. I am so pleased that my lasting memories of hearing you play are of the two
pieces you played for my entry and our exit. Thanks once again - you really helped make our ceremony and drinks reception exactly what we wanted
it to be.

Cameron and I wanted to thank you so much for the music you played at our wedding - you were absolutely phenomenal and so many people talked
fondly of you afterwards. An additional thanks is for taking the time to learn the Coldplay tune for when Cameron arrived - it meant the world
to both of us. Thank you for being a huge element to what was a day to be cherished forever in our lives. We will gladly recommend you to
friends and family.
Paul and Cameron Irving, June 2012
